1970-S Lincoln Cent, Memorial (1959-2008)

Among 1970-S proof and business-strike Lincoln cents, specialists have identified several closely studied date-punch varieties, catalogued and cross-referenced by researchers like Bill Fivaz and J.T. Stanton, that collectors hunt for die by die. This example carries one of those catalogued variations from a year when Vietnam War protests and economic uncertainty dominated the headlines.
